Community Enterprise is one of UK’s most responsive and effective providers of highly skilled consultancy.

We help heritage focussed groups, communities and social enterprises turn challenging assets and ideas into reality and sustain them during difficult times. We have many years’ experience delivering feasibility studies, market research and options appraisals to test whether a project is viable, fundable, is supported by the local community and enhances other organisations and businesses. We consolidate this information and evolve it into an evidence led business plan and/or a development appraisal that will not only show how the project will be delivered but will be a catalyst for funding. We offer fund-raising/bid writing, impact assessments and evaluations. We two other divisions in the organisations related to digital consultancy and branding (logos marks, campaigns and web development).

We are involved in various national contracts, including Just Enterprise, the government-funded social enterprise development programme. We are on the HIE Support for Communities framework and run a free national capacity-building programme called Accelerate. We are on the support framework for the National Lottery Heritage Fund and were on the framework for the Architectural Heritage Fund in relation to Community Ownership Fund bids when they were open.

We are a social enterprise ourselves, and 100% of our profits are re-invested in supporting the further growth and development of communities across Scotland. We have been working in communities across Scotland for over 35 years, delivering work that makes a clear and obvious difference.
