Our Experience

Trinity is a locally rooted and trusted community arts charity, formed in 2002 to manage the Trinity Centre, Bristol, a former church that now operates as an independent music and arts venue.

Since 2009, we have undertaken capital works exceeding £3 million to further our commitment as an affordable and inclusive community centre – delivering a diverse arts and heritage programme that welcomes over 70,000 people through our doors every year.

We are celebrated regionally for our democratic decision-making systems and processes, recognised locally as a trusted arts centre, and championed for having a sustainable business model.

We have amassed significant experience and expertise over the years, specifically:
– Developing robust and dynamic business plans that have a demonstratable impact.
– Implementing new enterprise models to strengthen our financial resilience.
– Co-designing activity to meet the intricate and diverse needs of our locality and city.
– Developing equitable systems to support monitoring and evaluation.
– Securing significant statutory and philanthropic investment, over £1.5m 2023/24.
– Conducting and delivering against feasibility studies for complex heritage sites.
– Delivering a community engagement programme, reaching over 5,000 people p/a.
– Designing and academically testing a Theory of Change for arts and heritage.
– Investing in open-source technologies to further our equitable data collection practices.
– Testing and implementing distributed leadership models to strengthen inclusive decision making.
– Building robust project management tools and systems, relevant to our work and constituents.
