Almond Tree Strategic Consulting is a values-driven consultancy primarily supporting third sector organisations in the UK. Established by Julian Lomas in 2007 following his successful, senior-level career in central and local government, we aim to help clients make a real and positive difference for the communities they serve.

We offer consultancy support in our core areas of expertise: strategic and business planning; governance; fundraising; and collaborations, partnerships and joint ventures. We can also offer support in a wide range of other specialisms including impact assessment, financial management and much more through our extensive network of associates.

We are passionate about public and voluntary service and have a proven track record of delivering high quality support, innovation and tangible value for clients. High quality relationships are at the heart of how we work. We aim to motivate and inspire those with whom we work.

Julian is a member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising, holding the Diploma in Fundraising Management, and has helped to raise almost £200m for charities and social enterprises. Julian is an Affiliated Member of The Chartered Governance Institute having gained a distinction in their Charity Law and Governance Certificate, and has helped establish and/or incorporated almost 100 charities and social enterprises. He also has a foundation qualification in the General Data Protection Regulation.

We are a corporate member of the NCVO, hold a Gold Level Corporate Social Responsibility Accreditation and have supported a wide range of heritage sector clients, including providing frequent support to the Architectural Heritage Fund and its beneficiaries.
